Diplomacy Game 2016 - Fall 1901 Turn Results

All hell broke loose this turn.   Some daring moves were rewarded (viz the Turkish fleet in Sevastapol), the German annexation of the Low Countries, and a very strong Austrian push south.

At the same time, England’s descent on Brest has been frustrated, though La Republique may be worried about the Italian army threatening Marseille, even as Italia looks worriedly at the Germany army in Tyrolia.

An interesting end to the first year.

  1. Exciting stuff. The Russians are obviously going to Syria. France appears to be retreating or perhaps planning to invade the USA and reclaim some lost colonies. The Italian has the Austrian bottled up in the Adriatic.

France failed to hold Spain so my prediction for them to pick up two didn't eventuate.

The situation with Russia and Turkey was unexpected. Good play to the Turk!

    1. I don't agree with regards to Austria/Italy. The former has the chance to land an army in either ven or apu - all three of Italy's home supply centres are within its grasp.

Having said that of course three of that Austrian sc's are woefully exposed...

  2. Some interesting moves there - especially as regards Russia/Turkey.

France lost her chance to occupy Spain. Will she head there, regroup, or make an audacious move against England?

If only there was a reliable news-source to make sense of a complicated world so we, can enjoy the Gilded Age!

  3. Michael, I have now twice accidentally killed of lengthy commentaries by Sir E, Blatt. I am calling this one off until after the New Year builds. Sorry. I simply hit the wrong button. I know when I'm beat.
