A motley bunch in progress. I want to finish the odds and ends off before I tackle the next whole unit.
Front left, GW LOTR Orc drummer (Minas Death Metal Battaltion), and on the right, a RAFM adventurer who will probably be recruited into my Weird War project
Centre, a lovely a dangerous Wargames Foundry elf from their defunct Realms of Faerie range, who I am painting as a supplication to spring.
Back row, first of the Bob Murch Yukon adventurers for my Rockies Ablaze project.
Blessings to your brushes!
"Minas Death Metal Battalion" didn't they put out an album in the 70s and open for ZZ Top once?
ReplyDeleteGood one!
DeleteThat's right. Minas Death Metal Battalion was actually a ZZ Top tribute band. Their biggest hit was "Girls Go Crazy For A Ringwraith Man", followed by their Alan Parsons Project inspired "I Am the Lidless Eye In The Sky"
DeleteEclectic assortment, for sure. I sure enjoy seeing your Murch figures. I have several packs that I bought on a lark that should find their way into a the painting queue.
ReplyDeleteYou must show us your Murch guys once they're done, Jon. Have you seen Bob's moose figure yet?
DeleteWho said men can't multi-task :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Rookies project is coming along nicely.
Cheers
Stu
Thanks Stu. It is taking shape. The three trapper dudes at the back will be my first experiment in snow basing. Still needed: more fir/pine trees and a lonely log cabin.
DeleteA wonderfully eclectic bunch, my table is looking slightly similar.
ReplyDeleteThey are nice figures, aren't they, Loki? The lovely Dianne Ansel found me some at Foundry and says they may make a reappearance under their Casting Room miniatures imprint.
ReplyDeleteLove all the different stuff. Good to see you working on such varied minis AND that the Rockies project is going forward!
