Saturday Painting Desk

28mm Front Rank Seven Years War Russian dragoons.  These chaps have been camped on the painting desk for a few weeks now.  Hoping to have them done by early next week.

Cheers and thanks for looking.
Blessings to your brushes,
MP

  1. I do hope I haven't been a bad influence on you with my SYW Russians.

They're looking good so far Padre :)

  2. Tamsnin, you're never a bad influence, just a good example. I've been doing SYW Russians for quite a while, though just in a less sensible scale. I think your 15s will look better than my big boys when they're done.

    1. Hey Alan! Nice to see milord Duke here. That would be an interesting mixup. All my painted opponents for my Russians are currently Turks, though I do have a regiment of Prussian infantry in the queue and am thinking of making Prussia my next SYW army.
The rules I like currently for SYW - I guess I'm a bit of a Sam Mustafa fanboy. I have used Tood Kirschner's Age of Reason from days of yore. I've played Black Powder a few times but for some reason it leaves me a little cold.

  6. Looking good and by the pic not much left to do to get them completed!

  7. Cheers chaps. You're right, Brummie, another few hours of detailing and they should be good to go. The trouble with 28mm figures is that I get a bit perfectionistic about them, but who else am I trying to please but myself? :)

  8. You're pleasing us as well. Never forget that. :P

But we are far kinder in response to your submissions than you ever will be.

    Keep up the good work.

    1. Cheers, Dai. I reckon that's why we visit other folks blogs regularly, because what they do impresses us, inspires us, and yes, pleases us.
      You're a good chap. :)
