I understand that the Russians more than anyone liked to bring their arty up close when dealing with 'hard' cover and buildings and whatnot. The Zis-3 gun I believe could as well be used as a field piece anyway.

In Italy, the Kiwi tank crew used to shove in solid shot under the windows of masonry buildings. I have an idea they would do this systematically, each window in turn, starting with the ground floor. Were I the German garrison, methinks I would have left the Kiwis to have their fun, and exited, stage outta there.Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-62075227791307406632014-06-06T08:30:55.469-07:002014-06-06T08:30:55.469-07:00Thanks Pete and Geordie, glad you like the bases a...Thanks Pete and Geordie, glad you like the bases and paint.Mad Padrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410143683610813671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-2619248374486323022014-06-06T08:30:29.164-07:002014-06-06T08:30:29.164-07:00Jeepers!
