Some look best for 6mm, others for 3mm, some for larger scales. Found a really good pair of cheap corduroy pants at a thrift shop once that has since been cut up into field sizes for some future project.CJRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10030780615753744132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-89425192518456003682016-02-04T15:22:59.728-08:002016-02-04T15:22:59.728-08:00Thanks for the info, guys! All the stuff in my collection is based on MDF, so I'd quite like flexible stuff like this to fit in with our new hilly battlefields. I shall take a look.Colonel Scipiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02632701529009379584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-62116306218919165752016-02-04T14:35:21.632-08:002016-02-04T14:35:21.632-08:00I'm not Glenn (the owner), but I was the Padre...I'm not Glenn (the owner), but I was the Padre's victim Sunday so I'm familiar with the terrain, those fields are from Hotz Mats. I think the roads were a silicon/gap-filler project. Some of the buildings are Total Battle Miniatures, the big grey one in the middle of the last photo is at least. The trees are mostly handmade - clumps of painted sponge glued to sections of dowel for the tree trunk with a penny as the base. The roads and fields all looked like fabric - the fields were a kind of swale or cord material. The buildings have been amassed over 40 years - some are resin from Leven (I think) but most are just folded paper or carved blocks of balsa. So mostly home made but none the worse for it.Mad Padrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410143683610813671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-9736507915391694612016-02-04T03:25:35.244-08:002016-02-04T03:25:35.244-08:00Very nice, a sweeping epic battle that was fun to ...Very nice, a sweeping epic battle that was fun to read.

Can I ask where the terrain is from? DR I think will be more accessible to me as I'll not have to paint a tonne of stuff before hand and so can just use minis I already have without worrying about unit sizes.

The Napoleonic game looks interesting. Such a large scale game you played too, very impressive.
