Sometimes I use the white glue to fill badly fitting joints. (Elmer's - which, odd to relate, is a milk product! That always amazes me.)Grenzer Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07294380876807418037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-27840212980717297622014-01-19T18:45:02.010-08:002014-01-19T18:45:02.010-08:00Thank you all. Ion, the plan is for them to augment my Turkish army, though I am also considering using bits of it for some skirmish battles along the Don between Russians, Tartars, Cossacks and Turks, using the Sharpe Practice rules from Too Fat Lardies.Mad Padrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410143683610813671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-4417943709841121392014-01-19T18:43:09.309-08:002014-01-19T18:43:09.309-08:00Hi John:

Most of the time it works, though metal cavalry and horse combos tend to fell off from time to time, so I try to keep a finger on the base, pushing it down against the bottle cap, when I'm painting it.Mad Padrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410143683610813671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-61068795613802050752014-01-19T15:36:29.478-08:002014-01-19T15:36:29.478-08:00I endorse those earlier comments: these fellows lo...I endorse those earlier comments: these fellows look fine to me in close up - they will look superb on the table, especially 'en masse', but even as individuals (I don't recall whether you are building a Turkish army, or some more 'skirmish level' project - if the former... Wow!). I was particularly taken with the 'vines vert on a field argent' as it is - don't know that I'd have the heart to add blossoms! The result will be colourful, but!Archduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-34157249867029946462014-01-19T13:16:16.244-08:002014-01-19T13:16:16.244-08:00Vy nice work so far dear Padre.Vy nice work so far dear Padre.Moiterei_1984https://www.blogger.com/profile/13808567081733803572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-80620627988685001012014-01-19T11:38:01.896-08:002014-01-19T11:38:01.896-08:00Good stuff, Padre. I am a big believer in the 2 foot rule. The detail has to look good from 2 feet away since my troops will be on table.
Cheers
PDPeter Douglashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14118894381672707297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519665561624985779.post-44262024567997441912014-01-19T05:36:03.894-08:002014-01-19T05:36:03.894-08:00I certainly don't consider that freehand rubbi...I certainly don't consider that freehand rubbish - those vines are great.

I'd like to give some heraldic figures a go at some stage.
