The World Series was riveting this year, well played ball and an amazing run by the Milwaukee Brewers, but it was also very distracting for my painting efforts. However I did get a little more work done on this crew of Prussian Seven Years War freikorps, and was grateful for all the suggestions you gave me regarding the green tone of the uniforms. I'm reasonably happy with the result.
So many straps! Next, the red on the turnbacks. What's on your workbench?Cheers and blessings to your brushes,

Looking good, Mike!

ReplyDeleteWorkbench (desk with a lot of clutter on it) not especially productive, but will be getting some 15mm Normans in a short while for my 'Byzantiad' project. They will stand for Normans or Lombards. I AM, however, working on an article that expands the battles from the Fastplay 3x3 Portable Wargame to 6x6 or 10x10 (in square grid cells). I've just 'done' the army lists, working out rule set (basically Dark Ages Byzantium PW), terrain generation, revisiting the campaign format. Basically expanding on my chapter in Bob Cordery's Third Portable Wargames Compendium...
Also thinking about building a small Byzantine navy (6 dromons, possibly). I think I have enough materials...
Well, you did ask...!
Cheers,
Ion
I do like Freikorps fellows full of mischief.
ReplyDeletePicts , mainly.

Cracking work on those Prussian Freikorps—that green uniform tone has come out dead good, and those Foundry figures look brilliant!
